Scottish artist Eleanor Spens is a self-taught artist based in Fife, who has been painting for many years. Growing up in a creative household, it was inevitable that art would become a significant part of her life. After spending fifteen years on the gallery and workshop side of the business, Eleanor decided to focus on further developing her own work.
Her new work is rooted in a love of texture, mark making, and mono-printing. These elements are incorporated into her collages, which feature paper-cut and metal leaf, creating pieces inspired by local wildlife and nature. In addition to her mixed media creations, Eleanor has recently expanded her artistic focus to include stunning landscapes of the Scottish countryside. These landscape paintings capture the serene and majestic essence of Scotland’s natural beauty, from the rolling Highlands to tranquil lochs and rugged coastlines.
